Steam Punk Creative

A lunch excape with good friend and couture milliner Rosalie Marwood resulted in lots of exciting course ideas for you.  Rosalie's part of the Steam Punk community and we were discussing how difficult it is to find something different and how much Steam Punk people enjoy creating individual clothes.  Hence two new courses from Unique Couture.  Come along and make a skirt or a boned bodice.  Go to the specialist workshop page for more information or contact me, I would love to hear from you!

'Chanel' jacket making course

This new workshop for 2012 is for sewers with some skills who want to make their own interpretation of the timeless, classic Chanel style jacket.

Day 1:  Research styles and inner construction techniques and design your own jacket.  Adapt your pattern.  Make and fit a calico toile (fitting shell).

Day 2:  Make your jacket.

New course in conjunction with Stone Creek Silk

My good friend Ruth Brown and I have got together to offer 2 new joint workshops, a real treat for me and I hope for you too! 

Ruth is known internationally for for dyeing, printing and state of the art digital imagery on fabric skills and runs Stone Creek Silk from an amazing converted barn at Stone Creek near Sunk Island here in East Yorkshire.

With Ruth you will have the opportunity to take your fabric from white, explore various dying techniques and produce a unique piece of cloth.  With me you will turn it into either a stylish garment.
